Last year (December 2020), I began a “daily doodle” practice. I wanted to incorporate illustration into my daily routine in small doses as a way to improve my craft and refine my style. Starting this practice has been THE reason I’ve improved so much.

This year, I wanted to revisit one of my doodles from last year… just to see how much I’ve grown. I still like last year’s version, but I’m definitely proud of the improvement this year. Looking over both of these, I’m happy with the improved clarity and artistic voice I’m seeing in the new version.
